Hike and Lunch - Great Meadow Pond

This event in Pachaug State Forest is really two activities packed into one! There will be a 4 mile hike with lunch provided at the halfway point by Friends of Pachaug Forest at the trail shelter on the shores of Great Meadow Pond.  Along the way we will pass ponds and marshes that are used by waterfowl, cross two dams on lake shores and pass through pine plantations. A wide assortment of lunch foods (including vegan options) will be provided. Those who wish to attend only the lunch may park at the Great Meadow Pond boat ramp and hike 1/2 mile in. The entire hike is EASY.
